RENELLE WHITE BUFFALO (b. 1987, South Dakota, U.S.; Sičáŋǧu Lakota, Rosebud Sioux Tribe) lives and works in Jersey City, NJ. White Buffalo’s work has been exhibited nationally, including at Montclair Art Museum (Montclair, NJ), Aktá Lakota Museum (Chamberlain, SD), Southampton Arts Center (Southampton, NY), South Dakota Art Museum (Brookings, SD), Holter Museum of Art (Helena, MT), Journey Museum (Rapid City, SD), Brinton Museum (Big Horn, WY), Northern State University (Aberdeen, SD), K Art Gallery (Buffalo, NY), and All My Relations Gallery (Minneapolis, MN). Notably, her work was featured on the cover of the documentary, Lakota Nation vs. United States, (2022, directed by Jesse Short Bull and Laura Tomaselli). From What I Gathered is White Buffalo’s inaugural exhibition with SITUATIONS (New York, NY).
